September 27, 2010 Minutes

Executive Meeting: at Meadow Lark Apartments, Montrose, Colorado. A quorum being present,

Pat Jeffers called the meeting to order at 12:08.

President Pat Jeffers announced that we still have vacant positions for officers for 2011, and that the October meeting will be a pot luck for members only to debrief the Guild’s 2010 year.

Geri Bates moved that we increase the security fee [to Camelot Gardens] to $125. Motion carried.

The board meeting was adjourned at 12:49.

General Meeting: at Meadow Lark Apartments, Montrose, Colorado. A quorum being present, President Pat Jeffers presided and called the meeting to order at 1:09 p.m.

Kathy Carter moved that the minutes be approved as e-mailed. Motion carried.

Treasurer, Deb Bradley, was not present. President Pat Jeffers read from the treasurer’s report that we have an ending balance of $16,018.60. The full report is attached to the original of these minutes.

President Pat Jeffers announced that we had openings for 2011 officers. Lael van Riper reported on the remaining openings and several members volunteered to fill the openings.

Artwork Transportation Coordinator: Roxanne Morris

Nancy Shorter will assist with note cards and demonstrations.

Leslie Rossman moved that we have Barb Scheu investigate how other guilds handle art scholarships.

Show Chair Leslie Rossman thanked all members for their help, and recognized:
Loretta Casler for the prospectus and poster
Hazel Pollard for updating the mailing list
Pat Brown for publicity
Elaine Johnson for publishing the show catalog
Sharon Marolf for the standard’s signs, and patrons sign, thank you notes and invitations
Andrea LaPonse and Barb Scheu for the sign for Camelot Garden’s back fence
Sybil Brennan for the covers for the ceramic tables
Kathy Carter for the lighting
Walt for arranging for the set-up and take down of standards by the men
Mary Hager for the reception
Ryan Woodie for the piano at the reception
Roxanne Morris for the Fund-raising.

She gave directions for show set-up, sitting and take down.

The business meeting was adjourned at 1:54. Virginia Columbo provided the demonstration.
